Built pretty much as the kit was intended by Parkside, bar the load, my only additions have been brake pipes and 3 link couplings. It great that these kits now come with suitable transfers.
Since the EM gauge layout at Keighley Model Railway Club doesn't have any narrow gauge on it, I thought a load for this Lowfit would be suitable to sneak some in! A Dundas Models 009 Hudson Skip wagon provides the load, freshly built and painted by Hudson of Leeds and on its way to the customer. Some small section wood provides something for it to sit on, and black thread a representation of rope.
Realistic? How knows, but I'd like to think it adds a nice variety to the more traditional wagon loads often seen on layouts.
Till next time.
