Bargain Class 37 Part 2 - Grill Up

Since the Hornby Class 37 was cheap, I thought I'd have a play with improving this basic model, showing what can be done with Hornby's basic ranges. It also gives me a bit of practice with weathering.

First step was too look at photos of prototype Railfreight Grey Class 37's. Many seemed to have black grilles, whereas Hornby had left them body coloured. So it was out with the black acrylic paint and a small brush to change that!

The difference just painting the grills makes is impressive, and we'll worth the effort. It almost gives a more premium model look instantly.
